About ST7 Alternate Tryout

The success of our athletes is our number one priority at ST7 Volleyball. Whatever your goals are in playing volleyball in high school and beyond, we are here to help you. With this in mind, we have been hard at work planning our annual ST7 Volleyball Recruiting Workshop for our 18U ST7 club team members. Although this is not required, it is highly encouraged for any ST7 team member who may be interested in playing volleyball in college.

What to bring/wear:

  • Wear athletic wear as you will be warming up, taking measurements, and going through some drills with Coach Sammy.
  • All athletes will need to bring a water bottle
  • A laptop or electronic device to access SportsRecruits
  • Something to take notes
  • Your recruiting questions

The ST7 Volleyball Recruiting Workshop will consist of two focused, interactive stations:

Station One: Recruiting & SportsRecruits 101 with Robin

  • Receive a digital recruiting notebook
  • Review the difference between NJCAA, DIII, NAIA, DII, and DI
  • Understand basic recruiting rules
  • Join University Athlete
  • SportsRecruits recruiting profile - getting started/updating
  • SportsRecruits capabilities
  • Model personal statements & email templates

Station Two: Drills & Measurements with Club Director, Coach Sammy

  • Warm-up & drills to help prepare for your optimum performance on your measurements for your profile
  • Standing reach measurement
  • Block touch measurement
  • Jump touch measurement

Athletes are highly encouraged to attend. Parents are also welcome.

Please RSVP by Sunday, September 10th. Please let us know how many will attend so that we may plan accordingly.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." - Will Durant
